Alege dragostea” este o poveste romantică despre două surori, Pragya și Bulbul, total diferite una de cealaltă. De când i-a murit soțul, mama lor, Sarla, s-a ocupat singură de afacerea familiei, o sală de evenimente, dar și de educația celor două fete.
Fire emotivă și vulnerabilă, Sarla trăiește în permanenţă cu dorinţa oricărei mame, şi anume aceea de a își vedea, într-o bună zi, cele două fiice așezate la casa lor. Dar, până atunci se adovedeşte faptul că multe obstacole stau în calea fericirii celor două fete.
În timp ce Pragya este o fire foarte timidă, introvertită și studioasă, dispusă oricând să își ajute mama, Bulbul este total opusă, temperamentală și visătoare. Este foarte preocupată de modă și de căutarea bărbatului visurilor sale, dar, mai ales, de îndeplinirea tuturor dorințelor ei, oricât de nebunești ar părea. Bulbul ascultă de o singură persoană, sora ei, Pragya, pe care o adoră, pur și simplu.
Un star rock, Abhi, plin de el şi un profesor de liceu modest, Suresh, îndragostit până peste cap, apar în viaţa celor trei femei, moment în care începe povestea.
Deşi a fost lansat în 2014, serialul a fost distins deja cu 11 premii, printre care şi cele pentru “cel mai bun serial de televiziune”, “cel mai bun actor în rol principal”, “cea mai bună actriţă în rol principal”, “cel mai bun actor în rol negativ”, dar şi premiul pentru regie.
